The ISUFST – Main Poblacion Site Library, as the college's academic support unit, aims to be a one-stop learning venue for all students. It has established innovative library services, made teaching and learning convenient and accessible both onsite and online.

Information Dissemination Services

Virtual Reference Assistance

Using Web 2.0 tools, the library provides remote reference services via the internet and social media.

New Acquisitions

A list of new materials is distributed to academic and administrative offices and posted on the library's Facebook page, bulletin board, and digital information screen (60-inch TV monitor).

Reader Services

Reserve

High-demand, rare, and expensive books, as well as single-copy items, are placed on reserve.

Circulation

Library circulation is fully automated.

General Reference

This includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, annuals, and handbooks. Theses and dissertations from ISUFST graduate students are also part of this collection.

Periodicals

The periodicals section offers magazines, professional journals, government publications, and an information file.

Electronic Resource Services

This area provides internet access for research purposes only.

Library Information System

The library has a computerized catalog circulation and an online public access catalog (OPAC) through an in-house library system.

The library maintains subscriptions to various e-journals, like ProQuet and Science direct to support the academic and research needs of its users

A variety of open-access databases, including eBooks and eJournals, are readily accessible online to support research and academic needs.

Wi-Fi

The library is a Wi-Fi zone, supporting connectivity for laptops, netbooks, cell phones, and tablets.

User Education Services

Individual Assistant to Users

All library users receive individual assistance from the library staff based on their specific needs.

Library Orientation

Freshmen students are given orientation at the beginning of the first semester.

Other Services

Exhibit Area/Bulletin Board

As part of its library publicity, the library maintains bulletin boards, displays and occasionally prepares exhibits commemorating special occasions. The library is also equipped with two 60-inch units for displaying digital information and events.

Discussion Rooms

The library’s discussion room is designed to facilitate private group work and discussions and is equipped with a small TV monitor.

Gaming Tables

Students may take a break from studying and enjoy chess and Scrabble using a gaming table prepared for that purpose.

Individual Study Carrels

There are several carrel tables for students to use if they wish to study without being disturbed.
